Copyright and Content Policy

ETAssist | Copyright and Educational Content Policy

Effective Date: 11 September 2026

1 Scope

This Policy governs the intellectual-property position and permitted educational use of material provided or generated through ETAssist.

2 ETAssist Intellectual Property

ETAssist and its licensors retain applicable rights in the website, web application, software, source code, platform design, branding, educational databases, database structure and organisation, templates, proprietary materials, documentation, interfaces and underlying technology. Third-party rights remain with their respective owners.

3 Licence to Educational Content

To the extent ETAssist owns or controls rights in Educational Content, ETAssist grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content for personal educational and classroom teaching purposes. The licence permits display to enrolled students, printing for the User’s students, adaptation for teaching and incorporation into ordinary lesson activities.

4 Commercial Restriction

Unless ETAssist provides written authorisation, the User must not resell, sublicense, lease, commercially distribute, publish as a competing library, bundle for sale, or otherwise commercially exploit ETAssist-owned Educational Content as a standalone or competing product.

5 AI-Generated Material

AI-assisted outputs may not qualify for copyright protection in whole or in part, and ETAssist does not represent that each output is exclusively owned by ETAssist. Where rights do exist, the licence above applies to rights controlled by ETAssist. No term grants rights that ETAssist itself does not own or have authority to grant.

6 Third-Party Works and Textbooks

The presence of subject-matter information, chapter references or educational material within the Service does not transfer rights in any third-party textbook, publisher content, image, trademark or other protected work. Users are responsible for obtaining any permissions required by law for third-party material that they independently add, reproduce, publish or redistribute.

7 User-Supplied Material

Where the Service permits uploads or prompts, the User grants ETAssist only the rights necessary to process the material for the requested Service, troubleshoot the Service and comply with law. The User represents that they have the legal authority to submit the material. ETAssist does not require textbook uploads for the current teaching-manual workflow.

8 Copyright Complaints / Notice

A rights-holder may submit a complaint to easyteachassist@gmail.com identifying the allegedly infringing material, the rights claimed, the factual basis for the complaint, and sufficient information for ETAssist to locate and review the material. ETAssist may disable, modify, remove or investigate material where appropriate and may request additional information to assess the complaint.

9 Reservation of Rights

All rights not expressly granted are reserved by the relevant rights-holder. The permission granted by this Policy terminates automatically upon termination of the User’s relevant Account or licence, except for lawful copies already made that must be retained or remain lawful under applicable law.
